Vibrometry
Laser vibrometry is capable of remotely sensing surface vibrations down to the sub-wavelength scale. It has found applications in integrity monitoring of structures as diverse as civil infrastructure and classical works of art, and is utilized in transportation and machine industries to quantify stress and noise sources.
Advanced Optical Technologies is currently engaged in research to extend the capabilities of laser vibrometry in sensing vibrations of complex objects that are optically unresolved.
